The mission of PRO is to secure and manage high quality data while transforming it into knowledge that can be used to inform and support planning decisions, improve student learning, and promote institutional effectiveness.
The Planning and Research Office (PRO) is responsible for the following:
- Coordinating planning activities such as the College Master Plan (CMP) and the Watsonville Center Master Plan (WCMP)
- Facilitating Accreditation and Student Learning Outcomes and maintaining an online knowledge base for both
- Reviewing and providing reports and information to national, state, community organizations, and internal offices at Cabrillo
- Conducting experimental, semi-experimental, validation, and exploratory research studies, as well as information technology related data-mining and data warehousing
- Providing planning and technical support to office and staff members
- Conducting external scans and staying one step ahead of emerging knowledge that affects the education sector.
